Ohio River Dye Test

During the week of October 8th , Greater Cincinnati Water Works will be conducting a study on the Ohio River. There will be several rounds of dye used in this study over a 2-3 day period. This will occur in the proximity of the I-275 Combs-Hehl Bridge and will likely turn portions of the river a tint of red downstream of the bridge.  The dye is harmless and will not affect the use of the river or aquatic life.

The data collected during this study will assist in future efforts with cleanup of spills or other contamination events. All appropriate agencies have partnered in communication for this event. Thank you.
