In support of the
myNKY vision to promote vibrant communities, The Catalytic Fund and The Center
for Great Neighborhoods (The Center) are bringing the myNKY Nano Grant program to
the city of Ludlow. Up to three $250 grants will be awarded to people who live
or work in Ludlow and have creative ideas to bring their community together.
The
purpose of the Nano Grant program is to support creative place-making ideas
created by local residents, students or workers that bring Northern Kentuckians
together, build a sense of community, celebrate our differences and foster
community pride.
In
2016, the Nano Grants program was offered in Dayton, Florence and Pendleton
County, resulting in creative events like the Stories of Dayton and Ewe-nique
Art Hop, interesting ideas such as the Fowl Weather sidewalk painting project,
the Imagine This! student engagement project and a video contest to promote Dayton.
Elishia
Chamberlain, City Administrator of Ludlow, is excited about the possibilities
for creative projects in her community and says, “I think this could be
fantastic for Ludlow.”
The
Catalyic Fund and The Center have committed to provide three $250 grants to Ludlow
this year.
