TANK Schedule and Fare Changes Coming January 30, 2021

TANK Schedule and Fare Changes will begin on Saturday, January 30, 2021. 

Representatives at the TANK call center (859-331-8265) are also available to help answer any questions or plan your trip on the new service.

Route will only serve the current Turfway loop. Industrial Rd/Empire Dr/US25/Main St areas will now be served by the 42X.

#1X Houston Rd/Mineola Pike Express

#2X Airporter

Shortened travel time between Airport and Cincinnati. This route will no longer serve Covington.

Route will end at the Covington Transit Center and will not go into downtown Cincinnati.

#5 Holman Ave/Fort Wright

Will use Madison Ave between City Heights and Walmart (instead of Highland Pike). This route will no longer serve St. Elizabeth Covington. Direct service to St. Elizabeth Covington will now be served by the Covington Health Connection route.

#7 Madison Ave/Latonia

Service will remain on Winston Ave and end at Latonia Centre. Decoursey and Huntington Ave. will no longer be directly served.

#8 Eastern Ave/Crestview Hills

Route is extended to serve St. Elizabeth Edgewood and Crestview Hills Town Center, and will use Madison Ave. north of 11th St. instead of Scott/Greenup.

#9 Taylor Mill/Independence

Unfortunately, this route will be eliminated due to low-ridership, with areas of Covington (north of Latonia Centre) continuing to be served by the #7 or #8.

 

 

   

#11 Fort Thomas

Unfortunately, this route will be eliminated due to low-ridership. Downtown commuters can utilize the Newport P&R under I-471, served by route #12.

 

 

   

#12 Bellevue/Dayton

Routing stays the same. Park and Ride has been added in Newport, under I-471, near Newport High School.

#16 West Newport/Fort Thomas

Route has been shortened to St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas, and the route will end in downtown Cincinnati. Route will no longer serve NKU or Covington Transit Center.

Routing will end at Fort Wright Hub P&R. Hands Pike P&R and Independence P&R will no longer be served. Lake Park Dr. has been added to this route (formerly served by 31X).

Unfortunately, this route will be eliminated due to low-ridership. Frequency will be improved on Dixie Hwy and US-27 (#1 and #25), creating easier transfers.

 

 

   

#39X Petersburg Rd/South Hebron Express

Routing stays the same.

Route will no longer directly serve Global Way, but will have stops on North Bend Rd.

#42X Industrial Rd/Florence Express

Route will serve the Industrial loop of the #1 and will use I-71/75 to create a faster connection between Florence and Cincinnati. Route will continue to serve the Florence Hub.

Covington Health Connection 

New route will connect the Covington Transit Center and St. Elizabeth Covington via MLK Jr. Blvd and Scott/Greenup.
