Kenton County Fall Clean-Up -- Sept. 26-27, 2025

It's time for the Kenton County Fall Clean-Up! Kenton County Clean-up is for Kenton County Residents. Please bring proof of residency (driver’s license with current address or your current trash bill). 

Locations:

Kenton County Public Works (420 Independence Station Road, Independence 41051)        

  • Open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days


Accepted Items: 

  • Appliances ($25 Fee for Freon containing appliances). Also accepted at the KCPW: M-F, 7:30 am- 3:30pm.
  • Mattress/box springs – limited (2) per household 
  • Yard waste and tree debris (No heavy tree limbs and stumps)  
  • Electronics (anything with a power cord) TVs, Monitors, should be taken to the HHW Event on Nov 1st 
  • Vehicle and rechargeable batteries only. 
  • Fluids (Oil/Gas) Must be Removed from lawn equipment or will be rejected.
  • Scrap Metal - Tires: (8) Standard Auto Tires max per load & residential address, additional $3 per standard auto tire. No huge Semi, farm or tractor tires accepted.

Not Accepted: 

  • Hazardous Materials
  • Pesticides
  • Paint/Stains (Ask about the Free Paint Hardeners) 
  • Liquid Waste 
  • Fire Extinguishers 
  • Tanks/Cylinders/Propane Tanks
  • Oil and Antifreeze 
  • Fluorescent Bulbs 
  • Shingles 
  • Concrete, Stone, Brick, Pavers or Dirt. 
  • No junk vehicles (including boats) 
  • UHAULS Full of household furniture (clean-outs)

*Kenton County Public Works, has the “Right to Refuse’ all items at their discretion* 

Businesses (including side auto/construction/junk removal businesses) shall be turned away.

For your safety and others, please cover all open loads with a tarp and strap down loose items.

Participants are required to unload their vehicle.
