City Council Vacancy Announcement
The City of Ludlow is accepting letters of interest from residents who wish to be considered for appointment to an open seat on Ludlow City Council.
Eligibility Requirements:
Pursuant to KRS 83A.040, a legislative body member shall:
· Be at least eighteen (18) years of age;
· Be a qualified voter in the city;
· Reside in the city throughout his or her term of office.
How to Apply:
Interested residents should submit a letter of interest and reasons for seeking the appointment. The letter may be emailed to Laurie Sparks at [email protected]; mailed to Laurie Sparks, City of Ludlow, P.O. Box 16188, Ludlow, KY 41016; or delivered to the Ludlow Municipal Center, 51 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY. Submissions must be received by Monday, July 6, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
Next Steps:
City Council will review all submissions and make the appointment at the regular Council Meeting on July 9, 2026, in accordance with Kentucky Revised Statute 83A.040.
