Ludlow Police Department to Host Citizen's Academy

Ludlow Police Department to Host Citizen's Academy
The Ludlow Police Department will host a second Citizen's Academy. This 10-week program will begin on April 1, 2015, and meet each Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. through June 3, 2015.  The Academy allows the police to share information with citizens about the complexity of a law enforcement officer's job and provide insight into the daily workings of the Ludlow Police Department.

The Citizen's Academy will expose participants to a number of current law enforcement issues and the latest Ludlow Police Department procedures.  It is not the Police Department's intention to train participants to take police action or perform law enforcement duties, but to provide them with an overview of the training received and functions performed by the officers.  The Academy was designed to create strong partnerships between the Police and the community to keep citizens safe.

Applications for the Citizen's Academy may be found here.  For more information, contact Sgt. Eric Love at (859) 392-2877 or [email protected].
