LUDLOW-BROMLEY MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

LUDLOW-BROMLEY MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

The annual Ludlow-Bromley Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 30, 2016. The line-up of vehicles, participating groups, and individuals walking the parade route starts forming at 10:00 am. There will be several coordinators on the corner of Carneal and Elm Streets to organize all participants. The parade itself will begin at 11:00 a.m. from the corner of Elm and Carneal Streets and will proceed west on Elm Street where it will stop at the Veteran’s Memorial in Ludlow Memorial Park. The parade then proceeds south on Helen Street to Oak and will end at the Bromley War Memorial where this year’s Memorial Ceremony takes place.

Included in the ceremony is the Pledge of Allegiance, invocation, placement of wreaths, introduction of the Grand Marshall, recognition of the veterans present, the presentation of the Steve Tanner Award, a guest speaker, benediction, and the playing of taps. Following the ceremony, the Bromley Fire Department will host a reception under the tent on Oak Street. If you would like more information and/or are interested in participating in the parade, please contact Paula Graszus at 859-431-1466 or by email at [email protected].
