Northern Kentucky Solid Waste Management Area: 2017 Free TIRE Disposal

Here is your CHANCE IN 2017 TO GET RID OF TIRES FREE: The Waste Tire Programs are coming to Boone, Campbell 
Kenton Counties. 

In cooperation with the Cabinet for Energy & Environment, Boone, Campbell and Kenton Counties will be hosting Waste Tire Collection Event. County residents may bring an UNLIMITED number of tires to specific locations in August for FREE disposal.

This program only occurs once every three years sonow is the time to get rid of those tires. Tires on and off of the rims will be accepted. Tire retailers, tire dealers, junk yards and garages are PROHIBITED from participating. We WILL NOT ACCEPTED: foam filled tires, off-road construction and equipment tires, and solid tires with pressed-on rims or tires larger than tractor size, tires with a bead greaterthan 13/4 inches, no tracks, no sheet rubber, no solid, calcium or fill tires. If you have a large load (more than 6 tires), bring help to unload!

BOONE: From August 17th, 18th, and 19th - Thursday and Friday hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday hours are 8 am - noon. Bring tires to the Boone County Public Works Yard at 5645 Idlewild Rd., Burlington or the Bavarian Landfill at 12764 McCoys Fork Rd, Walton. KENTON: From August 24th, 25th, and 26th Thursday and Friday hours are 8:00 am to 5:00pm and Saturday hours are 8 am - noon. Bring tires to the Kentucky State Highway Facility at 3L Highway (3923 Highway 17, Covington, KY 41011)To learn more about Kenton County's Waste Tire Program, please call Adam Dunn at 859-392-1920 or visit their website.

CAMPBELL: From August 10th, 11th, 12th Thursday and Friday hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday hours are 8 am - noon. Bring tires to the State Highway Facility at the 1175 Racetrack Rd. in Alexandria.
